What’s up with CREACHER?

For almost as long as I can remember, I have been drawing creatures. I like drawing them for a lot of reasons, in the context of this post, the reason is simple. I don’t want anyone to feel like they’re being singled out. I’m questioning the status quo, taking the conventional wisdom to task. They’re not meant to offend, just to provoke thought and start a conversation. Sometimes they’ll stand alone and sometimes they will be accompanied by a blog post. I sign the pieces CREACHER. Taken from 2 Corinthians 5:17, which in the KJV says, “Therefore if an man be in Christ, he is a new Creature…” Creature combined with preacher (which I also am)= “CREACHER” It’s not exactly an alter ego, more of a pen name. I’m a pastor and here in the U.S. we’re basically on lockdown, so I’m trying to figure out how to of all the things I do online rather than in person. As you might expect, the extra work takes extra time so I have not been doing a lot of art. Well I took a day off today and decided to make some art, but what to make. Well my friends at the Kul Pong Klub in Croatia are running Marchartoon, a creative challenge so I thought Why not? It’s a daily challenge this year combining an animal and a sport. Just what I needed to stretch my creative muscles. Now truth be known I am really behind and I am not sure I can catch up, but I am going to try to do a lot of them, I decided to plug the pieces in on their assigned day, so I could keep track of my progress.
