6/1/16 On Political Correctness

I usually let the toons speak for themselves, but for the next few toons, I have decided a little more commentary is needed. I have grown increasingly disturbed by political correctness. It’s not necessarily that I think it’s all bad, but there is something that I have noticed. Maybe you’ve noticed it too. There is no longer any room for disagreement. Anyone who disagrees is pretty much accused of hatred. This is just plain sad. There was a time when a conversation ensued from disagreement. You would try to win me over to your side, I would try to win you over to mine. We might get passionate, but at the end of the day, one of two things would happen: One would win the other over or we would agree to disagree. Today you either agree or you are written off as a bigot, we become increasingly polarized and discourse is replaced with name-calling. These cartoons are designed to challenge this perception. I hope they bless you or at the very least make you think.

Oxymoron

Meet my new (and maybe never to return again) character OX E. MORON Here with a reminder.

By the way if you’re unfamiliar with the term, An oxymoron is a figure of speech by which a locution produces an incongruous, seemingly self-contradictory effect, as in “cruel kindness” or “to make haste slowly.”

CREACHER on Truth
Just for the record, it does say the truth will set you free and the truth and the politically response are not always the same thing. We don’t need political correctness nearly as much as we need people who speak the truth.

CREACHER Political Correctness

I go on Facebook every day and see terrible things people post about Christianity and I wonder, would people get away with posting this about any other people group. Don’t worry, I’m not going to play the victim here, I just want to make people think a little. Jesus told us people would hate us, preparing us in advance. The best I can do is make sure that if you hate me it’s because of my faith and not because I’m a jerk.
