There are days where I look at what is happening in our world and I just can’t stand it. We are destroying ourselves in the name of “if it feels good, do it” and wondering why things are falling apart. I for one have had enough. I don’t have a lot of money. I am not powerful in the eyes of the world. I’m just a guy who loves Jesus and draws pictures but today I declare that I will use what I have to chip away at this system and make a difference. If you believe this is truth, share this on all your social media. Let’s take the battle viral.
I think this is a vital truth for every creative. We can have all the ideas in the world, but they have very little value until they are shared with the world. As Seth Godin says, “Art is a gift” and “Real artists ship!”
What have you been holding back. It’s time to let it out.
The old saying says, “what you feed grows, what you starve dies.” The question we must all ask ourselves is what are we feeding? Like the person who takes in a large predator as a pet. It’s all well and good for a while but eventually it will take over, and maybe eat it’s master. If you want to kick a habit, you have to starve it. If you want to build a better behavior, feed it. It’s not science (well I guess technically it is) care for the things you want to enhance in your life, starve what you want to get rid of.
This is especially important with our minds and our creativity. There are all kinds of things that will choke out our creativity. Negative attitudes, poor self image, and on and on. All that kind of stuff needs to starve so your best stuff can thrive.
What are you feeding?
Are you sharing these meme’s and spreading the word about Creacher?
Okay so here’s the thought, when I first created Creacher, my hope was that people would use these toons as memes on their social media pages, so that we could use them to spread the Word. So far that hasn’t happened so I am formatting them for that use. Let me know what you think of this change. I don’t know that I will go back to posting five days a week right away. I’d rather post them every time I have a really good idea.
